Preschool Fall 2022 Registration

Deposit required to reserve a spot (deposit will be applied to first month's fees)

The DCS Preschool is open to Deaf, hard of hearing and hearing children ages 2.5-5 years of age. We offer a bilingual-bicultural program offering American Sign Language as the language of instruction with a strong emphasis on both ASL and English literacy skills.

Art, drama, music, physical activity, books, story telling and special field trips and events are just a small part of the rich and varied curriculum designed for the needs of each child. Children engage in calendar time daily, music and rhythm, manipulative and free play, and circle time. There are always many crafts and art activities to engage in, where fine motor skills are developed. Gym and outdoor time provide the children with opportunities to engage in physical exercise and develop their coordination.

Our certified ECE staff are committed to supporting the development of the whole child in a respectful and accessible environment. Respectful of individual differences and abilities, the staff foster a caring community, helping the children learn to play and work together cooperatively. At the same time, children learn self awareness and self worth, and the value of their contributions to their classroom, family and community, setting the stage for achieving all of the language milestones and kindergarten readiness skills for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children to become life-long learners.

Please note that the prices indicated below include the before school care (8-9am) and after school care (2-4pm) services.
